Salary: £25,472 to £34,189 pa

You will work with the Occupational Therapy team leader on delegated projects for service development and work in a variety of locations including department, ward, home, or other community venues.
 
The successful Occupational Therapist must have enhanced CRB clearance (valid within the last 12 months) and be HPC Registered.  You will also need to be up to date with you immunisations so we can get you Occupational Health Cleared and you must be up to date with your CPR and Manual Handling training.

Locum Occupational Therapist Required

Location: Nr Manchester

Social Services - Community and office based (car owner/driver required)

Excellent Rates – Ongoing position!

Start date: ASAP

Band 6/7 OT required to work for a busy social services borough to re-able service users after hospital admissions or who have needed domiciliary care support. The re-ablement typically lasts for a 6 week period and is delivered by their in house Stars team. The OT would screen referrals assessing whether they would need to go out (due to complexity of package) or they could send one of the promoting independence officers. The OT would offer support to the PIO when returning from assessments and prior etc. The OT would assess what aids are required to re-able, whether on a short term basis or permanently. The OT will set treatment goals for the service users, such as walking therapy or kitchen therapy, this will involve training the care staff who will be supporting the service user so that they can achieve the six week target of re-ablement so they are fully independent or a reduction in the support they require.

Full Time ideally Monday-Friday (may be flexible on hours/days)
