Registered Medical Practitioners use their clinical expertise to carry out medical examinations and provide medical advice on people who claim various types of benefit. They forward their reports to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) where decisions on benefit entitlement are made.   Examinations are performed in one of our 150 Medical Services Examination Centres nation-wide or in the claimant’s home. Full training is given to allow our Registered Medical Practitioners to become specialists in the field of Disability Assessment. Some doctors may wish to progress to obtaining the Diploma of Disability Assessment Medicine (DDAM), approved by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.

HCL International urgently require Specialty Doctor in the Paediatrician Department .

 

We are looking to appoint Specialty Doctors in the department of Paediatrics to commence as soon as possible based on 10 Programmed Activities plus 2.5 Additional Programmed Activities per week to include participation on the middle grade on-call rota. Working as part of a committed team within the busy hospital, we are looking to appoint a Specialty Doctor to work with us in the department of Paediatrics & Neonates.  This post is full time and will include participation on the middle grade on call rota.

 

MAIN DUTIES OF THE POST

 

The main duties of the post will be in the Assessment and Observation Unit wards and the Neonatal Unit on flexible rotation and include:

 

Carry out daily ward rounds including the weekend when appropriate and provide cover to the neonatal unit/labour ward. Provide service to the surgical wards for Paediatric medical problems. Take GP and A & E calls for possible admission; Assess referrals for need for admission and prioritise for medical attention; Supervise juniors and agree appropriate management plans; Ensure clear communication with GPs/HCTs when patients are discharged; Provide supervision and support for the Specialty Trainees/FY2s/FY1; Undertake regular CME; Receive education supervision and regular appraisal from a named consultant; Attend handover meetings at 9.00am where appropriate; Part-take in middle grade full shift rota; Provide prospective cover for annual and study leave of colleagues

 

Candidate must have a minimum of four years full time postgraduate training in the UK (or equivalent EEA training)of which at least two years will be in Paediatrics. Also to have at least 6 months Level 3 Neonatal experience. Other clinical experience required is the ability to undertake full range of Paediatric practical procedures and conventional and patient triggered ventilation (eg IV Cannulation, UVC, UVA, long lines) Intubation etc.

 

Essential is a Primary Medical qualification MBBS or equivalent; MRCPCH by examination or equivalent, APLS/PALS or equivalent and must have Full GMC Registration.

 

The ideal candidate ability to work well with colleagues and within a multi-disciplinary team, ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, GPs, nurses and other agencies also to be able to organise and prioritise workload effectively

 

Good command of English language is essential. The period of employment will be for one year. The salary is between £36.443-£67,959 per annum (depending on experience). HCL International urgently require Doctors in Emergency anaesthesia based in one of the largest acute NHS Trust in the country; Birmingham Area.

 

The principle duties would be to provide service support for elective and emergency anaesthesia on all sites in the Trust.  There will also be a requirement to provide specialist anaesthetic input into obstetrics and critical care.

 

The post-holder will be expected to be committed to Continuing Professional Development that satisfies the criteria set by the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

 

Post holders would be expected to participate in the Intensive care training and education curriculum based in the Heartlands Hospital to ensure in-service training requirements matched the post's requirements. Also he/she will be expected to work with local managers and professional colleagues in the efficient running of the service.

 

Candidate must have the minimum of two years within speciality of anaesthesia

Demonstrate knowledge, skill and experience in each area of anaesthesia specified in job plan. Must be able to demonstrate competency in intensive care and obstetric anaesthesia.

 

Must have or be eligible for Full GMC Registration.

Good command of the English language essential. The period of employment will be for one year. The salary is up to £55.000 per annum based on the experience.
