This role is for a brand new 25 bed private hospital based in the heart of the city centre, the new site will have state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging including X-Ray, MRI, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, Mobile and Theatre imaging.
You'll have clinical and administrative responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of patient-centred imaging services across General X-Ray, Theatre and Mobile, at both clinic and hospital. Working closely with the Radiography department manager, radiological faculty and referring clinicians, you'll also help develop the range of clinical applications incorporated in the service offering.
With a BSc or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography, current HPC registration and preferably a Radiation Protection Supervisor certificate, your post-qualification experience will span General X-Ray, theatre work and mobiles. Whether you work full or part-time, you'll need to help cover our 8 am – 8 pm hours, Monday to Thursday, 8am – 5pm Friday and out-of-hours on-call service. We're flexible if you are.

CLINICAL AREAS:
Patients will be referred for ultrasound as In-Patients, Outpatients, A/E, General Practitioners and Family Planning Clinics.
The work includes wide range of general abdominal, small parts, paediatric, gynaecological, vascular and some musculo-skeletal work.
JOB SUMMARY
The post holder will have attained the Obstetric and Gynaecology, Abdominal modules in Medical Ultrasound, and vascular ultrasound module qualification will be desirable.
The post holder must demonstrate a high level of ultrasound scanning skills and will work as a part of as multi-disciplinary team.
You will have autonomous responsibility for performing and reporting a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
You will be expected to be able to work independently under pressure, but your support network will be as part of the ultrasound team.
You will be required to work to a high standard in keeping with departmental guidelines and protocols with regard to patient care, and expected to participate in CPD and clinical audit.
• A Postgraduate qualification in ultrasound is required and you must be registered with the Health Professions Council or equivalent.
• The post will involve placements throughout England
