We’re currently seeking a Lead Practice Nurse to join our busy team in Docklands London. You will be running a treatment service for minor injuries and medical conditions, working in conjunction with the on-site General Practitioner. You will be leading a small team of clinical staff, contributing to the health, safety and wellbeing of clients, within their designated workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage the nurse team, ensuring a quality customer focused clinical service to clients.
· Carry out 1-2-1s on a monthly basis, Organise recruitment and arrange induction training for new staff
· Work closely with the Health Services Manager and Management team to ensure efficient service delivery.
· Carry out designated health assessments in accordance with medical fitness standards and company policies and procedures
· Maintain safe and competent practice
· Assist the on-site first aid team and security team with emergency care.
· Provide immunizations and travel health advice
· Able to use standard office equipment and also general medical equipment e.g. Keystone Vision Screener, defibrillators, etc.
· Recording and managing client data, to produce statistical reports.
Skills & Previous Experience Required:
* Post registration experience preferably in A&E or Practice Nurse setting
* Experience of Health Screening
* Experience of leading a nursing team.
* Broad clinical skills.
* Basic IT skills
* Good interpersonal/ communication skills (written and verbal)
* Practice nurse qualification would be advantageous but not essential
* Broad clinical skills including venepuncture
* First level (Adult) RN.
