Home Manager – Hawick
Up to £34,000 per annum

My client a leading Nursing Home provider is looking to recruit an Experienced Nursing Home Manager to run their Nursing Home within the stunning Hawick area of Scotland. The large home provides care for elderly people offering both residential and nursing care needs.

The role will involve
• Overall management of the home
• Recruitment and retention of staff
• To create an environment that respects the rights and wishes of the residents and, encourage person centred care and independence.
• Participate in staff training and provide support to junior staff.
• Ensure effective communication within the home environment.
• Ensure care practises are reflective of the requirements of the statutory bodies. Assist in the reviewing of the homes policies and procedures.
• Maintain an efficient system for assessing and evaluating residents care needs and delivery of care in accordance with the care plan.
• Ensure the safe administration of medication in accordance with the NMC
• Working within budgets, financial planning

The successful candidate will be an experienced Home Manager with a minimum of 2 years experience within a Home Management role. All applicants must hold a first level nursing qualification; an SVQ Level 4 in Management is desirable but not essential. This role requires a strong and assertive Manager with experience of leading and motivating a team.
