Band 6 Dietitian in Paediatrics required for an ongoing role, working within a well established NHS hospital in the Cardiff area.

We are recruiting a HPC registered Dietitian, with excellent paediatric experience and a dedicated, professional and enthusiastic attitude. The paediatric service at the hospital covers community clinics, therefore we are looking for a Dietitian who can work independently to provide a high quality therapy service, performing assessments and plans for patients accordingly. The successful Dietitian will have previous experience working independently and knowledge to cover complex allergies in paediatrics.

This role will be available from the end of June, and boast full time hours working within an efficient department, onsite accommodation available, offering £23-£26 per hour and medi benefits. (Candidate does not need to be a car driver)

We are looking for a creative and customer focused Dietitian to develop the patient food service and menus, this will involve key input to ensure nutritional adequacy of all menus in accordance with dietary needs and ensuring high quality standards are implemented at all stages.

You will be liaising with the Trust Dieticians, Speech and Language Therapists and all other relevant staff on issues relating to menu design and content, considering dietary codings and Patients needs, for example, diabetes, swallowing difficulties. The Dietitian role will involve, Random testing to ensure quality, delivering training programs for all catering staff and working closely with the purchasing department to source new and specialist products.
Qualification Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and/or Dietetics
2 yrs minimum experience as a Clinical Dietitian, preferably within an NHS setting
HPC Registered
Member of the BDA/Foods Counts specialist group desirable
Training to at least basic level in food hygiene
Evidence of CPD
