We are currently looking to recruit 2 experienced Accredited Checking Technicians to join our expanding Care Homes Pharmacy team close to our Head Office in Harlow, Essex.
You will be a key member of the team assisting Pharmacists and overseeing the team in dispensing medication for our patients within the Bupa Care Homes, following good dispensing practice and relevant guidelines from RPSGB.

Your accountabilites will include:
Able to check off goods received efficiently and accurately.
Is able to locate goods received appropriately (quarantining if required)
Able to pick items efficiently, accurately and checking own work for errors.
Able to identify erroneous components on an order.
Is able to ensure effective stock rotation.
Able to ensure products picked have an acceptable shelf life.
Is able to screen prescriptions efficiently and accurately.
Able to dispense products efficiently and accurately.
Is able to be organised and neat when dispensing.
Able to stop and ask questions if unsure about any dispensing procedure.

It is essential you have the ACT certificate and

Working knowledge of RPSGB regulations on valid prescriptions.
Working knowledge of RPSGB regulations on dispensing practices (i.e. labelling, storage, split packs and hygiene requirements).
Dispensing experience in a high turnover pharmacy

Job Summary
 
This is a great opportunity to join our successful business development team. We are looking for an experienced sales professional to manage existing business as well as generating and converting new opportunities. In this role you will be expected to operate at a strategic level in order to deliver and exceed financial objectives set by the Regional Director.

    * Building and establishing relationships in order to influence and succeed in complex negotiations, through demonstrating sound commercial knowledge.
    * Keeping abreast of changing market needs and ensuring that these match with BUPA Home Healthcare competencies.

Specific Skills
 

    * You’ll be of graduate calibre.
    * An articulate individual, Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
    * Sales experience with a proven track record in working alongside the NHS, within a hospital or community environment.
    * You’ll have in-depth knowledge of the UK healthcare market and a clear ability to understand the business dynamics of the Bupa business, its products and services
    * Experience and understanding of NHS tenders, contracts and framework agreements.
    * Sales experience in Homecare preferred but not essential.
    * Ability to look for new business whilst managing existing business.
    * Computer literate with working knowledge of various MS packages.
    * Ability to work on your own initiative.

It is essential you've registered with the HPC and this should be complemented with relevant laboratory experience gained through formal, structured training, ideally within a haematology setting. Additional experience in Biochemistry are desirable but not essential.

Due to the expansion of the Pathology Service a vacancy has arisen for a State Registered Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry. You should be familiar with routine chemistry and endocrinology analysis as well as the ability to set up new assays and problem solve.

Ideally you will have significant post graduate experience and you should have excellent computer skills. As well as working in Biochemistry, you will also be required to work in the other sections of the laboratory, previous Multi-disciplinary experience would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be given. This post would suit an experienced Biomedical Scientist who is looking to develop into their first senior role.

The post is full time but we would also consider job share. After initial training, participation in the Saturday morning and On-call rotas is essential. You may, on occasions, be required to work at one of the other sites.
