Duties
To oversee and monitor day unit and clinic activity, take on an active role
in the provision of services to clients, support clients during procedure,
admission into the day unit, provide aftercare, provide post operative advice
and correct or improve service provision where appropriate.
You will be working closely with the team leader to ensure targets are met,
will monitor standards and objectives, develop cultures within the teams,
participate in handling enquiries face-to-face and over the phone, set clear
standards, identify team needs, carry out appraisals, motivate and train team
members whilst developing good nursing practices. You will also supervise
health care assistants where necessary, brief teams and implement policy and
procedural changes in line with quality management system.
Qualifications/Experience required
RGN
Up to date understanding of gynaecology, theatre and an understanding of
Sexual Reproductive Health. GCSE standard English language, GCSE Mathematics or equivalent.
Experience
Gynaecology/midwifery/theatre/family planning/sexual reproductive health
Supervising/team leading
Working without direct supervision, coaching or training individuals or
groups, reporting and administration, implementing change, service delivery
and providing a high standard of care.
Must be computer literate including Windows/MS Office
Skills
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be highly
organised with good time management who is accurate with attention to detail.
Must have the ability to deal effectively with other health care professionals
and achieve results through leading by example.
Must be flexible and sensitive to individual client needs with good attention
to detail.
Salary: £33,000 dependent on experience.
Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 per week.
