We are currently working with an East Berkshire Unitary Authority who are looking to recruit a Social Worker / Experienced Social Worker for their Disabled Children's Team. This position is on a locum basis.
This post suits Social Workers who are already experienced working with Disabled Children or those who are in Child Protection and want a rewarding challenge in a different team.
You will undertake initial and core assessments working with Disabled Children and their Families. Work will include reviews, and statutory meetings. Work will involve some Child Protection and LAC work. As a Social Worker you will be committed to multi-disciplinary practice working with other service professionals including health and education.

Our client requires an Approved Mental Health Professional to work in a Community Mental Health Team based in North West London. The role will involve conducting Mental Health Act assessments, working on community treatment orders and managing a small caseload of clients, reviewing care plans and liaising with other services to provide appropriate level of treatment. 2. To ensure that the social care needs of individuals referred are identified and met within the requirements of legislation and available resources in order to promote the principles of independence, social inclusion and recovery.
3. To work in partnership with service users, carers and other agencies, through effective communication and consultation, to achieve service provision which is person centred (particularly through the use of Direct Payments) and outcome focused.
4. To undertake AMHP training/maintain AMHP status and, when approved, to undertake the full range of AMHP duties which would include assessments under Section 13 of the Mental Health Act, any subsequent statutory work as a result of this and provide flexible cover across the County as required.
