Advantage Healthcare is currently recruiting for several Support Workers to work within an adult’s with learning disabilities home in North West Cambridgeshire.

The home provides respite support both long and short term, for up to 50 residents between the ages of 19 - 65. Residents can sometimes communicate verbally, however some also use makaton and communicate with objects of reference or pictures. You will be assisting residents with personal care, from high dependency to self catering levels and general duties around the home.

Some residents can display challenging behaviour but this is managed very well and our client proactively uses SCIP intervention methods.

The successful candidate will have to:


Adhere to the home’s policies and procedures at all times
Be willing to complete enhanced CRB disclosure
All candidates will preferable hold an NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification in health and social care but this is not essential as full training can be given.
