As the qualified nurse on the ward you will responsible for the medication rounds and clinical supervision of the healthcare assistants. Other duties of this role may also include assisting patients with all aspects of day to day living such as eating, washing, dressing and exercise.

It is important for applicants to have previous experience working within a hospital environment on a variety of wards. Experience of conducting observations, taking blood pressures and temperatures, manual handling and hoisting will also be required.

Both full and part time positions will be with day, night, weekend shifts will be available.

Duties of this role will include visiting clients in their own homes and assessing their needs. Applicants will also be required to refill the Dosset boxes with medication, treat and dress leg ulcers and assist with pain management.

To be successful applicants should have previous experience in wound management including treatment of leg ulcers, medication, venepuncture, possible immunisations and pain management. Due to the location of the work car drivers would be preferred.

We are looking for carer assistants who have experience of working with children in home care environments and feel they have the skills to care for a six year old boy who has severe epilepsy. He has a gastrostomy, needs suctioning and is on oxygen. He is totally non verbal and wheelchair and hoist dependent.
