Specialist Neurophysiologist Band 6
Our client requires a  an experienced and qualified Physiological Measurement Technician specialising in Neurophysiology for a 3 month temporary Job in Truro Cornwall.
You will have experience in carrying out nerve conduction studies and EEG's and will be able to step into the role with a minimum of training or induction. Working primarily within your department you will provide a service to outpatients although there may be a requirement to work on wards from time to time.
The team consists of 2 technicians working under a consultant Neurophysiologist with a Band 3 assistant and admin staff


Due to the highly specialised nature of this post excellent hourly rates have been negotiated. The hospital is situated in the beautiful cathedral town of Truro and has great transport links to London and Europe. Hays Healthcare are currently recruiting a Consultant in Paediatrics for a 6 month job in South West Scotland, the role is to cover maternity leave and will start May until December.
 
The successful consultant will join the hospital serving a population of 105,000 in the picturesque, rural location of South West Scotland, 30 miles south of Edinburgh.
The department is a 15 bed mixed speciality Paediatric Ward and the 8 cot Special Care Baby Unit, as well as Consultant and secretarial offices and the Community Paediatric offices are situated in the Hospital.  Contained on the same floor are the adjacent Labour Ward and Obstetric Ward, as well as the Caesarean Section Theatre.
The Paediatric Ward has 10 beds allocated to Medical Paediatrics and 5 beds to General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Oral Surgery, Ophthalmology and ENT. Day Surgery is provided within a central Day Procedure Unit on dedicated children’s sessions.
 
All consultants applying for this Paediatrics role must have experience in Neonates and Specialist GMC Registration
 
The post-holder will be required to commit to clinical work of 40 hours per week with a 1 in 6 on call.

Hays Healthcare are currently recruiting an SpR Doctor in Paediatrics for a job in London to join one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK providing a wide range of clinical services and medical education, training and research.
 
 
The successful SpR doctor in Paediatrics will be based at the acute general hospital providing a full range of services to the local area. Hospital services include accident and emergency, maternity, medicine, surgery and paediatrics. The children’s ward was recently relocated and refurbished and re-opened in mid 2001 and has 14 beds including 6 cubicles and an adolescent bay. The level 1 special care baby unit is in the maternity block and has 8 cots. The post holders will be involved in the care of children on both the children’s ward and special care and will provide support for junior colleagues.
  
This is a non-training post. A time allowance for study leave is made within the 8 weeks pa of annual leave. Post holders are encouraged to participate in the continuing professional development programmes in the department of paediatrics at both this hospital and the main hospital site. Each of the post holders will rotate at weekly intervals between 2 hospitals covering paediatric A&E. The subspeciality experience offered at the larger hospital will be tailored as much as possible to the needs of the individual. However the provision of this aspect of the rotation is dependent on all service commitments being fulfilled.
This Trust can offer sponsorship for a work permit and UK experience is not essential.

The successful Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics will work mainly within General Paediatrics, although depending on special interests and experience there may be an opportunity to work within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
 
The Paediatrician appointed to the job will be responsible for the care of Paediatric referrals and admissions-to include paediatric assessment unit, investigations, emergency admissions through the emergency Department, GP referrals and OOH. As well as care of neonates in SCBU or NICU as appropriate requiring close liaison and communication with colleagues and Consultant Staff.
