You will provide training and mentorship for the support staff and may be required to participate in the ‘on call’ system.

We are looking for a qualified Nurse Practitioner, you must hold a valid NMC pin, to work in our clients centres.

Key duties involved in the role are:
Based on an individual approach, assess any patient with undifferentiated diagnoses.
Make a diagnosis using a range of validated clinical guidelines and act to provide the best health intervention for the patient.
Health advice
Nursing treatment or care.
Suture and plaster, or prepared for training.
Minor illness/injury care
Medicines management/advice/prescribing
Referral to another health professional or service as required.
Set standards for care by implementing protocols and establishing health education activities.
Develop new and innovative tools to assist patients and those supporting their care to do so to their best effect.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessment, planning and treatment of patients.
Research, audit and development
Ensure that clinical nursing activities are evidence based.
Participate in, coordinate and implement research, audit and development related to the development of unscheduled care.
Participate in the dissemination of best practice within the walk in centre.
Work at all times within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.

Desirable Qualifications: 
Independent Nurse Prescriber
Teaching / Mentoring experience and /or qualification

Essential Qualifications: 
Registered General Nurse
Recognised NP qualification at minimum of degree level or equivalent

Essential Experience: 
Minimum of 5 years post registration experience
Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up-to-date knowledge and on-going competence in all aspects of the NP role
Experience in management long term conditions e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes, CHD
Evidence of working autonomously and as part of a team
Proven ability to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of their own clinical practice
Previous experience of managing and developing a nursing team

Key duties involved in the role are:

feeds back to supervisors and managers on resource issues related to direct patient care. Collects data for matching workload with available resource.
Assists in the Implementing and support of other staff grades
 Plays a key participative role in the delivery of education and training programmes related to the speciality as part of their professional code.

Is aware of the applicable National Minimum Standards in relation to the Healthcare Commission’s annual inspection

Essential Qualifications:

The Hospital, one of the most technically advanced private hospitals in Europe, is a foremost provider of independent healthcare in Yorkshire. As an 88 bed, six theatre hospital, the service provision is varied, covering everything from outpatients and minor procedures through to major surgical specialties – including neurosurgery, cardio surgery, gynaecology, orthopaedics and more.

You will play a full part in the multidisciplinary theatre team, making sure high quality, evidence-based and safe patient care is delivered.

I am interested in hearing from nurses with spinal and minor surgical experience, who would like to develop their skills with a diverse caseload.

A registered practitioner, ideally you have gained experience in specialist areas – although training will be provided.
